This Monday through
Friday course is geared toward the advanced art student who is seeking to
build skills in painting outdoors. The class has been limited to 15 students to guarantee
plenty of individual time for each of the artists involved in the course!
The course will include demonstrations by Mr. Jennings in outdoor painting technique, design concepts, materials and preparation. These demonstrations will offer the student an in depth look at the artist's thought process and technical applications that are needed to become proficient in plein air painting. Each day will find the class painting outdoors at various locations. Mr. Jennings will offer instruction and information as the classes' paintings progress, assessing and guiding the works as they are being developed. Open discussions of art concepts and practical applications will help the students gain the necessary fundamentals needed to develop their talents in this exciting art genre.
